Delicious, Child-Friendly Snacks

When you have young children, there is always a need for quick, tasty, and fun snacks! In our house, my oldest daughter (4) loves helping out so we especially like snacks that she can help prepare.

Snacks for Children

Watermelon Shapes with Cookie Cutters

Get creative! Pull out your cookie cutters and let them go to town making fun shapes and then eating them. Watermelon is already delicious, this just adds a little excitement to the day.

This is also a great idea to keep in mind for themed parties!

Icebox Sandwiches

These are so good! I can't say enough about them. They are so easy to make and keep well in the freezer. They never last more than a week at our house, but I am sure it would be fine to leave them in longer if you don't eat them as quickly as we do.

Ingredients:

Large box of instant vanilla pudding

2 C. Milk (we use Almond Milk)

6oz cool whip (most of a container)

1 cup of mini chocolate chips

1 package of graham crackers

1. Mix vanilla pudding mix and milk with a whisk.

2. Add in cool whip. Then add in mini chocolate chips.

3. Spoon mixture between graham cracker sheets. (Break each graham cracker in half, and place mixture in between).

4. Wrap sandwiches in plastic wrap and store in the freezer. You can also place the individually wrapped sandwiches in a large freezer bag as well, to help them stay fresh longer.

5. Enjoy!

Trail Mix your little ones will love!

The great thing about trail mix, is that you can customize it to meet the needs of those who are eating it. When feeding my little ones, I put together ingredients that I know they love. You can always leave out or add anything that you like. This is a big hit at our house!
